Kristin Shirahama spoke October 25, 2012 at Women's Bar Association event on aging parents

On October 25th Kristin Shirahama was a panelist for the Women's Bar Association event, Aging Parents: Navigating the Journey. The event was designed to introduce the "sandwich generation," those who are supporting children and older loved ones alike, to resources available to successfully navigate the aging journey. Kristin spoke about the particular estate planning issues relevant to elders and disabled individuals as well as accessing MassHealth and other programs that allow individuals to stay in their homes as long as possible. Kristin was joined by fellow panelists, Diane Savastano, a health advocate and founder of Healthassist, Martha Payne, a financial planner at Baystate Financial and Janet Benventuri, who wrote "Don't Give Up On Me! Supporting Aging Parents Successfully."
